No matter what it is you want to achieve the place to start is in your own mind. How you think and what you focus upon will dictate the outcome which you experience. If you go into something without commitment you will not reach the finishing line. It is essential to make an informed choice when deciding on the best weight loss action to take. The majority (99.9999%) of failed weight loss attempts lie in the persons mind – in their attitude, beliefs, expectations or lack of information.

To be successful in losing weight, you have to use the mental skills essential to success at anything in life. Losing weight is NOT simply a matter of keeping your mouth shut, as most of us have discovered. Unfortunately most people just hear about a new diet and “try it” the following week. On a scale of 1 to 10 please grade that for commitment. And please be ruthlessly honest. I’d give it a 0 or 1. “Trying” is lying as the saying goes – lying to yourself, that is. You don’t try to brush your teeth, you brush them. You don’t try to eat your lunch; you eat it. And on a scale of 1 to 10 please grade this same scenario on how well informed this would-be dieter is. Again, I’d give it a 0 or 1 at most. Apply the same scale as to how detailed the person’s beliefs and expectations of success are and again, I fear the same low rating will be the result.

Think now how damaging the effect is of having made a “half-baked” attempt at weight loss. No one likes to admit that they didn’t really try and so will justify in their own mind that they did try, they tried really hard, but it “still didn’t work”. This leads on to the next logical conclusion – “whatever I try, I can’t lose weight”, creating an ever deeper belief that you will never manage to lose weight. And if you think you cannot, you are right. You create your own reality, through the thoughts you choose to think.

If you want to lose weight successfully, there is no point in making justifications such as “I’m big boned” or “all of my family have a big appetite”. These thoughts (no matter how correct they may be), made more compelling each time you give them the time of day, won’t help you to lose weight; they will do the exact opposite and will stand in your way and create a powerful barrier to weight loss. You have, within your own mind, all of the keys to successful weight loss, so long as you choose to apply them.

Thus to lose weight effectively, I suggest “binning” any and every “justification” that you have ever used. Promise yourself that you will never again pay heed to them. Instead, focus on how a successful person might think about weight loss. Imitate and emulate the most successful person you know. Empower yourself through prior knowledge so that you can make an informed choice about the best weight loss method for you. Commit yourself as fully to your plan as you would if you know that you will succeed – 100%. Seek the help of the right expert for you, if you want, or consider that you need, assistance.

As a hypnotherapist, I think the most frustrating thing is when a client turns up in my office as a result of a “half-baked” idea. You need to meet your therapist half way – the hypnotherapist cannot do it for you, but will work wonders so long as you are a willing, committed and well prepared subject. What is so ironic that it is only the way in which you think that gets in the way of your own success!

I have found through experience that it takes time for a person to adjust their thinking in relation to successful weight loss. In the modern world being hypnotized is a common cure. The practice is used for a broad range of applications including weight loss and smoking cessation. It is well documented that many people are turning to hypnosis for fast weight loss. Phobias and addictions are also effectively treated with hypnosis as well.

No doubt you have heard of the treatment options, but have you tried to find a hypnosis center that offers such a service. So where do you find a fast weight loss center? The Internet is one of the places to start. There are many hypnosis websites to explore. All hypnotist, unfortunately are not created equal. With each center there is a big difference in what they have to offer.

Here are some helpful guidelines to help you make the right choice. The most important rule is to find a hypnotist that doesn’t have a weight problem. If your hypnotist has a weight problem, how are they going to effectively help you lose your weight? If fast weight loss is what you desire, then your hypnotist has to be a role model of his or her work.

In order to make the right decision, there are some things that you need to look for. Is this a person that is just starting out, or a hypnotist that has been in practice for a long time? Do they have documented results of fast weight loss? Everyone states that their programs are proven effective. The truth of the matter is that you need to see proof of success. It would start with before and after pictures, line endorsements which include first and last name, city and state. Two endorsements with city and state are just not believable.

Your hypnotist needs to help you understand, that fast weight loss is a mindset. The purpose of the hypnotist is to direct, motivate and inspire you to make the changes that are required to lose weight quickly. The behavior cannot be left to the client to lose at his or her own pace. What you did in the past is not important, with the proper suggestion you can lose weight in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of effort.

Here is another important thing to consider, does the hypnosis center offer a free hypnotic evaluation. Nothing could be more comfortable than to be able to meet the hypnotist, so they can get some background information and give you some test to see if you are a good candidate. Are they a member of the Better Business Bureau? Are there services available if you regain your weight? Do they have an on going support system?

Next you have to attend sessions at a hypnosis center where you feel comfortable. Wouldn’t it be nice if you were in an environment that is fun and exciting? Lots of people think that fast weight loss has to be hard, difficult and painful. Actually losing weight with hypnosis can be fast, easy and exciting. With the proper suggestions losing weight with hypnosis can be one of the easiest things that you have ever done.

Spending some time checking out hypnosis websites will be well worth the effort. Think how much time you spent researching and planning a vacation. How many cars have you looked at before making a decision? Doing research can go along way in helping you find a fast weight loss specialist.

Now you have some good guidelines in finding the hypnosis center that offers fast weight loss. Find the hypnosis center that you believe will provide you with the type of service that will allow you to lose weight quickly. Best of luck with your weight loss experience.

Weight is a subjective topic that brings out a lot of emotion and conjecture with people. It is not up to me to judge whether you are overweight or not. Different cultures and customs attribute beauty to different body shapes and appearances. To a certain degree (although the trend is by no means ongoing and overwhelming) western culture worships a lean and muscled body. For proof – look at fashion/health magazines and home shopping TV channels!!

All this can lead to a detrimental level of thinking whether by beauty is associated closely to a lean and muscled body shape – therefore if you don’t conform you must loose weight!!

A better way of thinking is to associate weight loss with health.

Your doctor will have a guide which will tell you that for your age, height and body structure your ideal weight range would be between x and y. This is called your ideal BMI (body mass index). Your doctor will also tell you what your current health (any ailments?) situation is and how this can be improved with weight loss.

So you need to lose weight to get down to your BMI range? In today’s health market, there are lots of options open for you. Diets, exercise boot camps, fat zap, surgery, pills, fasting…..the list is endless.

Most typical weight loss solutions include what the sellers don’t advertise – high cost, lots of pain, no guarantee of long term success and sometimes detriment to your health.

Most weight loss solutions will not address the REAL problems that cause weight gain and weight retention.

Weight loss hypnotherapy (or sometimes termed weight control hypnosis) is the use of hypnotherapy techniques to address your subconscious issues with regards to body weight and appearance.

Believe it or not, your subconscious may not want to lose weight or keep any weight loss permanently!!

Why not? Your subconscious is there to protect you. There maybe a myriad of ‘irrational reasons’ that your subconscious doesn’t ‘approve of weight loss’ – all of these will have resulted from some past conditioning from your experiences.

The subconscious may think fasting and dieting is really bad for you (from something you read). So your diets will fail and you will not follow through.

It may think losing weight will mean you move out of a long established comfort zone into new dangerous territory (from a past experience where you’ve changed your appearance). So even after losing weight you will feel uncomfortable and immediately put it back on.

Your subconscious may think surgery to help weight loss only addresses your outward appearance. So after surgery you will go right back to eating junk and binging.

Whatever reasons behind subconscious hindrance to weight loss – you need to bring your subconscious on side about weight loss. You need to convince your subconscious through weight control hypnosis that weight loss is actually really good for you!

You see the subconscious is a really powerful part of your brain – it’s the bit below the tip of the iceberg – where many of your vital functions are conducted. Your subconscious regulates your breathing, blood flow, bodily functions, motor control etc. Think about the times where you’ve been driving along…then suddenly you realise that you’ve arrived at your destination and didn’t even have to think about doing it! These things happen thousands of times a day where your subconscious does things without needing you to rationally think of each step.   

Hypnotherapy for weight loss is about confronting your subconscious about the real reasons for weight loss. It’s about addressing through weight loss hypnosis, any subconscious hurdles that are actually preventing your from losing weight and keeping it off permanently.

When you book in for a session of weight control hypnosis, we firstly examine you in hypnotic state (this can only be done with your conscious consent – no one can be hypnotised without allowing themselves to be!) and examine the real reasons you want to lose weight as well as the real reasons that are holding your back from achieving weight loss.

Weight loss hypnosis will then imprint new patterns of thinking and doing to help you lose the weight you need to lose for your health and keep it off permanently!
